They grow wild along the southern coast of Australia and hold a rich cultural and culinary importance for Australia's First Nations people. For the Ngarrindjeri people of Coorong (South Australia), muntries are a cherished part of their history; commonly traded amongst tribes, and one of the first Australian native plants to reach England.
