ICE CREAM
SIMPLE ICE CREAM
- 1 1/2 cups full cream milk
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 pinch of flaked salt
- 2 1/2 cups thickened cream
- 1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 jar any Mitch's Preserves Jam
Whisk to combine milk, sugar and salt until dissolved. Stir in thickened cream and vanilla.
Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, or overnight. Whisk or mix together again before putting mixture into the ice cream maker. Turn on unit and let mix for 40 minutes.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, don’t stress! Just pour ice cream mix into some ice cube trays and place in the freezer until solid. Turn ice trays out into a blender and pulse the blender until smooth (add dash of milk if necessary)
Pour mix into appropriate container. Stir through your favourite Mitch's Preserves Jam before placing in the freezer.
